The stage leads over Vršič, the highest pass in the Julian Alps. A picturesque view of the northern walls of the highest peaks that you will remember for a long time.

The stage begins in Kranjska Gora (810 m), where we pass the Best Western Hotel Kranjska Gora to Lake Jasna and from there along the forest road past the ruins of the former Hotel Erika. We continue along the mountains and through the forests, along the mountain stream Pišnica, past Mihov dom (1085 m) and the Russian chapel, and from there we turn onto the old donkey path to the top of Vršič (1688 m). We are only a few steps away from the lookout point, where the face of the Heathen Maiden can be seen in the rocks. The Russian Chapel and the Heathen Maiden are the magic points of this section.
