Even if you don’t intend to conquer any of the peaks that stand guard over this Alpine valley, the Vrata valley is worth a visit in itself. Take three hours and follow the well-marked Triglav Bistrica Trail to the valley head below the Triglav Northern Wall.

From Ros onwards, the route follows the paths and trails along the 10 km long Triglavska Bistrica, which rises in Vrata. Follow the characteristic information posts of the Triglav National Park.

The water of the Triglavska Bistrica is cold and refreshing. Sit on one of the white stones by the water, take off your shoes and soak your tired feet, while your eyes travel over the most beautiful walls of the Julian Alps.
